Where do I begin? We found Eastside through chance - trying to find a nearby daycare with short notice when two new foster kiddos landed in our care on October 15, 2018. Little did we know that the staff at Eastside would become part of our cherished village to help nurture and guide these two kiddos plus an additional sibling born while the foster care case was still active. We have been witnesses to the love and attachment between the caregivers, teachers, and directors at Eastside and our littles now grown big. From Kelli's warm welcome during intake to Kayla's snuggles with our babies to Jackie's "got your back, Mama!" greetings each morning to Keri having one or both of our littles for most of the 5 ½ years in care - you have been our safe and welcoming place. I have referred many people to your facility - especially the wide-eyed foster parents scrambling to put together a plan (these kiddos come into our lives with about a 45-minute warning). My second oldest daughter Kate went from a reticent teen to flourishing adulthood working with your staff (and she still has connections there today!). Our deepest gratitude and appreciation to all of you for your care and efforts to help our kids get from scared, dysregulated, undernourished, traumatized littles to self-assured, thriving, healthy, (mostly calm) kids - on track for academics, growth, and development. You are forever imprinted on their (and our) hearts.

I am so thankful for EEC! I’m a first time Foster Mama and have never had children of my own

for the whole daycare experience. It can be scary and overwhelming when trying to navigate the

process, but I was put at ease immediately thanks to Ms. Jackie. She was so helpful with all the

paperwork that I needed to fill out and making the process go smoothly. I am so very thankful for

all the teachers that help in any way with my baby girl but a special shout out to Ms. Krystal.

She has shared her wisdom through all the different stages of baby girl’s transitions and helped

this first time Mama navigate through all the ever-changing needs as baby grows. Also, a shout

out to Ms. Brittney for her help with getting the ball rolling for baby girl to receive PT, grateful for

her going out of her way and making it happen. It’s the little things like being greeted when you

walk in the door, the goodbyes as you leave for the day, or watching every single teacher

interact with baby girl with such excitement when they see her. It feels like one big family, and

we are blessed to be a part of it. It’s an amazing feeling knowing that your child is loved and not

having to worry or stress about the care your child is being given. I hope that my future fosters will be able to find a spot at EEC as well, because I can’t imagine taking them anywhere else.
